This production of Legally Blonde was Gaya’s first design on a proscenium style stage. Produced through student group, Tisch New Theatre, this well known and loved musical challenges outdated stereotypes with a modern day lens. In this design we made the choice to move the orchestra onto the stage which highlighted the fabulous orchestration but also served as universal backdrop for the various locations visited within the musical.
